Dr. Brown will be joining the practice January 1, 2014. She is excited to start the new year by providing excellent eye exams to current and new patients at Baymeadows Vision Center. She will continue the practice’s high level of individualized eyecare and expertise in the most advanced technology in eyecare and fashion, all with her personal touch.

She, and the staff at Baymeadows Vision Center, wish all the best to Dr. Armitage as he begins a new phase of his career. Dr. Armitage will continue seeing patients as he transitions into solely doing research at the practice for the next generation of contact lenses. He is very excited about Dr. Brown joining the practice for they share the same beliefs and passions of optometric care. He has great trust in Dr. Brown’s extensive experience in eye care and multitude of specialty skills.

This decision is going to benefit us all! Please read below the thoughts of your doctors…

From Dr. Armitage to you –

“After 10 years of proudly being your optometrist, I have decided to retire from providing eye exams at Baymeadows Vision Center. Come February 2014, I will be fulfilling one of my loves by conducting various research projects for contact lens companies, finding the next generation contact lenses. So you may still see me at Baymeadows Vision Center.

This was not an easy decision for me. During the past ten years, I have had the privilege to know and care for you. I looked forward to each day that I was in the office because practicing optometry and caring for you were so important to me.

What made this difficult decision possible was finding the best optometrist to join Baymeadows Vision Center. Dr. Monica Brown shares my beliefs and passions of optometric care. Her extensive experience in a multi specialist group will continue to provide you and all of our patients at Baymeadows Vision Center the highest level of individualized eyecare.

Thank you so much for your trust and support. It has been a privilege to serve you. “

Sincerely,

Dr. Brian Armitage

From Dr. Brown to you –

“My name is Dr. Monica Brown, and I am proud to be joining Baymeadows Vision Center as your optometrist.

I received my Optometric degree from Nova Southeastern University’s College of Optometry and my Masters as a Certified Orthoptist (a specialty in binocular vision) from the University of Iowa. For the past 6 ½ years, prior to joining Baymeadows Vision Center, I practiced optometry at a multi-specialty group practice.

The reputation of Dr. Armitage and Baymeadows Vision Center is highly regarded in the optometric community. I intend to carry on the tradition of its high standards of patient care, excellent reputation in the industry, and unparalleled personalized care.

Like Dr. Armitage, I have the clinical training and experience to provide you with the highest level of eyecare. I will continue to prescribe the newest technology products to solve your vision issue which may include spectacles or contact lenses. I will be there for your medical eye conditions. This includes cataract diagnosis, glaucoma treatment, and emergency eye care such as eye infections, scratched eyes, or removal of a foreign body. I am passionate about contact lenses and plan to continue to provide specialty lenses such as Scleral contact lenses. I will help children and adults alike with their binocular disorders, such as double vision.

As you already know, the staff at Baymeadows Vision Center does an incredible job. I am thrilled that these professionals will be here to help me provide your care as they have been doing in the past.

Dr. Armitage will be helping in the transition as I finish my current work obligation. He will continue to provide patient care as needed.

You are an individual and will receive individualized care using the most current technology and advances in optometric patient care. It is what you expect, and it is what you deserve. I look forward to meeting you.”

Sincerely,

Dr. Monica Brown
